The 1.499 are the thickest standard index lenses made for prescriptions SPH: +4.00~-8.00 CYL: 0~-4.00. They were the first choice instead of choosing glass lenses. Because of their properties the eyeglass frames must be a full rim frame, reducing and preventing the lenses from cracking.

Perfect for the person who spends a lot of time outside. By blocking horizontal light waves, polarized lenses reduce bright reflection, road glare and increase clarity in bright environments such as driving facing a sunrise or sunset.
